Yes, Lax-A-Day is safe for a child who is constipated. The amount of powder to dissolve in a small amount of any liquid is measured according to your child's weight. For example, if your child weighs 12 kg, 12 grams of powder would be used. This is given as needed once a day.

Otherwise, encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids, and if not already doing so, encourage the consumption of plenty of fiber through fruits and vegetables for example.
