Can we give something for the cough? When should we consult a doctor?

My baby has a fever, coughs (fat) a little and his nose runs ... he has no decrease in general condition, he eats well, hydrates well, not more sleepy than usual ... we give acetaminophen and make sinus rinse.

Hello Ma'am,

It depends on the age of the child.

If the child is less than 2 years old, one should consult if the fever has been present for more than 2 days.

If the child is less than 1 year old, consult if the fever has been present for more than 36 hours.

If the child is less than 3 months old, consult immediately.
