My 4 month old baby cries in an unusual way?

My 4 month old baby is crying in an unusual way. He seems to be in pain and cries more than usual, even at night. He has a small fever (37.7 rectal). This has been going on for 3 days and we can't get a medical appointment. Is it possible to advise me please!

Good morning, ma'am,
I would like to point out that a rectal temperature of less than 38 degrees Celsius does not indicate a fever.
I would like to reassure you that a baby can seem more difficult at 4 months because the perception of those around him and of himself changes greatly. Don't forget that crying is his main way of expressing himself.
As long as your child is drinking, wetting and soiling his diaper and seems to be in good general condition, there is no need to worry.
I hope I have reassured you and I am available if you have any other questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
