Should I take Canesten if I only have 1 symptom of a vaginal yeast infection?

I saw last night that I had a rash (which is tender) near the entrance to my vagina. I don't have any discharge at the moment. I was wondering if it was necessary to take the Canesten tablet if the cream would solve my problem because of the one symptom I have.

Using Canesten (clotrimazole) just because of vulvar redness is unlikely to improve the situation. Since this medication is appropriate for Candida fungal infections (yeast infections), the symptoms of women who use it are more like a whitish discharge, itching and redness. If the redness is not accompanied by severe pain or other symptoms, I would recommend doing nothing. Vulvar and vaginal mucosa heal themselves very quickly!
