Hello! For several months now I still have redness and small red spots (where there were already pimples) despite the treatment against acne with Biacna and Finacea.

I already take Biacna and Finacea. I have been prescribed RETIN-A MICRO 0.04% cream. Should I start it?
can I alternate between Biacna and RETIN-A MICRO 0.04%?

Hello ma'am, are you talking about scars after acne lesions? Do you dig or scratch the lesions?
31-year-old woman · a year ago
Yes, I am talking about scars or pimples that have been there before.
i never pop pimples because I know that it can cause scars.
despite all the products, creams, cleansers I still have traces of pimples and still have pimples that appear in the same places.
i don't know what to do anymore

Thanks for the information!
It can take several weeks to months for the skin to fully heal and mature.
I suggest applying a fragrance-free moisturizer to the face 2-3 times a day if possible. Avoid soaps and cleansers, water is sufficient for cleansing once or twice a day. Always protect the skin from the sun, even in winter, with a screen with a GPS of at least 30.
I hope I've been helpful, and I'm available if you have any other questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

wash only with water?
i have oily skin so it's almost impossible for me :/
can you tell me if the products I use are suitable for me?
i use the Effaclar range of La Roche Posay cleanser for oily skin and as a moisturizer Cerave is it good?
i also have a prescription for RETIN-A MICRO 0.04%, can this help?
can I use this prescription alternately with Biacna?

Usually, water is sufficient for hygiene even if your skin is oily. Sebum is necessary for healthy skin. That being said, the products you mention, Effaclar and Cerave, are considered gentle and good options.
As for your Retin-A prescription, you will have to discuss this with your pharmacist since you are taking Biacna and Finacea. He/she is in a better position to answer your questions and if necessary will contact the prescriber for clarification.
