Cough and chest pain?

31-year-old woman2 years ago
I am writing a question for my spouse (Male - 29 years old): I've had pain in my right lung for over a month. And I have a tiny bit of cough, but very lightly. It's not covid because I was tested a month ago and today and the results are negative. The doctor told me that it was only because I was overweight and that eating better is the solution. He only checked my blood pressure and listened to my heart/lungs. For about 1 month I have been exercising and eating better daily, but the pain has intensified in the last week. I am very worried, but I don't want to go back to the doctor because I think he will blame it all on my excess weight again.

Hello, thank you for your question,
In order to try to reduce the pain, it is usually recommended to identify the possible causes or triggers. Is the pain secondary to physical effort? Or the cough? Is the coughing due to a runny nose in the throat?

Hello,
Thank you very much for your answer
He has lung pain at rest, but it gets worse during and after physical effort
He tells me that he coughs because he has a little mucus in his throat, but his nose doesn't particularly run more than normal.

Thanks for the feedback!
First of all, if you haven't already done so, you should address the mucus flow in the throat that causes coughing: I strongly suggest nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as necessary during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, we can reduce their backward flow, which often causes coughing, which in turn can put a lot of strain on the chest muscles and cause pain.
I am available if there is anything
