I am breastfeeding and I have had diarrhea for a little more than 3 days, what should I do?

Hello, 4 days ago I ate a lot of cherries and I knew afterwards that it was a powerful laxative... the same evening, big cramps. The next day, diarrhea several times and it's been like that for 3 days. I am breastfeeding so I can't take imodium if I am not mistaken. I drink gatorade and since yesterday evening I take a biok capsule. But I'm a bit worried, I didn't think it could be so long... I still have emergencies (diarrhea) about 6 times a day, after each meal among other things... should I consult? Is this normal? Is there a medication that is compatible with breastfeeding?

Hello ma'am, if you have not had any fever, nausea or vomiting, yes, Imodium is safe while breastfeeding.
I suggest favoring light foods like soups, broths, toast with butter, eggs.... Avoid heavy or sweet foods such as red meat and undiluted fruit juices. To this end I suggest not not drinking Gatorade unless it is G2, the others contain a lot of sugar.
You should start to notice a gradual improvement, but if it persists for more than 7 days, you will need to see a doctor.
Hopefully I have been of some help to you, please feel free if you have any further questions
