I forgot a pill of my contraceptive and I have persistent bleeding, what should I do?

Hello, I am currently taking the anovulant seasonque. About 3 weeks ago I forgot a pill (I took the pill the next day when I realized I had forgotten) but a few days later I started my period and I have been menstruating for almost 3 weeks now when I should not be. Should I stop taking the pill for a week to regulate my cycle or continue to take it until I stop?

Thanks for the feedback!
Unfortunately this can happen as a result of forgetting or even delaying to take it for some people. I would advise you to continue taking it as planned if you are willing to do so.
That being said, if you wish, you can also take a 4-day break, if you have taken the contraceptive for at least 21 consecutive days without forgetting. The contraceptive will remain effective during this short break.
Sincerely,
