Should I take another pill right away to try to "replace" the one I threw up last night, or would it make no difference?

Hello, I am taking the birth control pill and last night I threw up about 2 hours after taking it. Looking back on it this morning, I thought maybe it didn't have time to be absorbed by my body. I had full sex two days ago, and my ovulation was yesterday, the same day I threw up. It has been 16 hours since I took my pill last night.

Hello, I think I can reassure you. A dose is considered not to have been taken when vomiting occurs within two hours of taking it. And by giving 2 hours, we are generous because it takes about 1 hour to assimilate the medication. You are therefore protected because the pill has most likely been completely absorbed. Taking another pill will not affect the effectiveness of the pill.
