My left eye is burning and my face is sensitive. Should I be worried since it doesn't seem to want to go away?

My left side of my face has been hurting since yesterday morning. My left eye burns as if it was irritated, but what is strange is that my skin is very sensitive on my cheekbone and temple (a bit like a big sunburn, but nothing is visible). Sometimes I feel a pinch. I don't have any headaches or other symptoms. Hello, just to let you know that following your message, I made an appointment with my family doctor the next morning. She also thought it was shingles, but noticed a scratch in my left eye and prescribed special drops to heal it. The pain has been gradually decreasing and since yesterday I am completely pain free.
