Hello, I have a sore throat that has persisted for 3 weeks. Sometimes the pain is on the left side of the throat, sometimes on the right and sometimes it's complete. I don't have any other symptoms, I'm fine except for a little cough sometimes!

Sore throat since 3 weeks that persists. Sometimes on the left, sometimes on the right... sometimes the whole throat.
No other symptom except a little cough sometimes.
very painful especially when I get up in the morning!

Good morning, ma'am,
If I understand correctly, the pain gets better during the day?
I read that you don't report any other symptoms, could I still ask if you have noticed a blocked or runny nose, even a little?

No, no runny nose and not clogged!
thank you for your help

Thanks for the feedback.
The reason I was asking about the nose is that morning cough and morning pain can be secondary to sinus drainage back down the throat, like a leaky faucet. To this end, nasal hygiene with a saline solution such as Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse can greatly help by preventing sinus secretions from flowing backwards down the throat. I think this is an option that should be tried.
I also encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot, as you prefer.
If symptoms persist for more than 7 days without improvement, you should see a doctor.
I hope I've been helpful and I'm available if you have any other questions!
