What should I do if I have blood when I have a bowel movement? Should I seek medical attention?

Hi, I had a bowel movement and when I wiped it off there was blood on the paper. I have no pain anywhere.

Hello,

The presence of clear blood one day while wiping is not worrying. In fact, it can only be a sign of skin irritation or a small crack near the rectum, which caused the blood. If you are careful, the skin will close and heal itself. Signs that are worrisome would be the presence of black stool or the presence of a lot of blood covering the entire bowl of the toilet.
