Should I see a doctor or reduce my dose of Trazodone?

Hello, for a few days, I get up with a big headache (pain in the temples and forehead). It passes a little during the day with advils, but comes back strong in the morning. I have been taking Trazodone for 1 year at bedtime and I know I had headaches at first. I'm wondering if it's serious, as it's pretty intense pain. I also take citalopram in the morning.

Hello Ma'am,
Does trazodone work for you in the first place? Have you noticed an improvement in sleep and/or a decrease in the time it takes to fall asleep?
Could there be other causes for these headaches?

The trazadone works well yes, I fall asleep with no problem. I have slept well in the last few days. Not sure what else would cause this.

Thanks for the feedback.
Since you find it effective, I suggest waiting a bit to see if your symptoms will subside. If the headaches persist, I invite you to talk to your pharmacist who can suggest a dose adjustment, even if temporary, alert your doctor to the steps and follow up closely with you.
