My 4 month old baby sometimes has mucus and foam in his stool?

Hello! My baby is 4 months old and I have been breastfeeding her exclusively since she was born. It's been about 1 month since she started having liquid stools...sometimes it looks like mucus and sometimes it's liquid with foam. It is never consistent. From 0 to 3 months, it was consistent, but now it's flowing from the diaper. Note that she doesn't complain, doesn't have a fever and is gaining weight very well (16lbs at 4 months). She and I do not have a family doctor.

Hello Mrs,
I would like to reassure you that the appearance and consistency of a baby's stools can vary greatly, but this does not necessarily indicate a problem as long as the baby remains in good condition, drinks, wets and soils his diaper and gains weight. Frothy appearance is even very common :).
Sincerely,
