Should I consult tomorrow or wait, is it normal to have 3 episodes of fever in such a short time? Thank you

My 3 year old son had 3 episodes of fever in not even 1 month. The first time he had a fever of 39 for 3 days without any serious symptoms or loss of appetite. 2 times (beginning of January) fever 2-3 days 38-39 loss of appetite, difficulty to sleep, runny nose and congestion yellow snot while doing the baby fly, fat cough, sputum... Consulted at the private clinic to be told that it is only a virus. Passed after a week and a half. Yesterday refuses to sleep, loss of appetite, amorphous 39-40+ fever during the night in spite of the Tylenol, difficult to know where it hurts, but I saw him scratching his left ear a few times since Monday without complaining... He wants me to massage his ear and it seems to make him feel better...

Hello Ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
Episodes of fever, as long as they are temporary, do not necessarily indicate a problem. At the age of 3, it is often viral and temporary. That being said, if the fever persists for 72 hours, i.e. a temperature that exceeds 38 degrees Celsius, it should be evaluated by a doctor.
This brings us to the present episode. I invite you to contact your pharmacist so that he/she can tell you the maximum dose of Tylenol that you can administer according to your child's weight (I can also do this if you provide me with your child's weight and the concentration of the product you have).
Decreased appetite is normal with illness, but your child should at least eat/drink during the day. I encourage you to give your child fluids often, even if it means giving smaller amounts more often. If this is not the case, or if his general condition seems to be greatly affected, you will have to consult more quickly.
I hope I've been helpful, and I'm available if you have any further questions!

My child weighs 42 pounds the Tylenol used is the 100ml child's one
160mg/5ml he takes 7.5 ml every 4 hours.
last night his temperature went up to over 40 so I made an appointment at a private clinic because he started complaining and pulling his left ear.

Thanks for the feedback! Depending on his weight, you could give him 9ml every 4 to 6 hours but not more than 5 times in a 24 hour period.
I will be available if anything comes up!
