My daughter has to strain to have a bowel movement, what should I do?

Hi, this is for my 5 year old daughter who says it stings after she poops... we went to see a doctor who told us to look for glasses in the night... and I see nothing and it never stings after she poops... and she leaves? We also tried zinc cream but it didn't help. She doesn't want to go to the doctor, so I'm messaging here.

Hello, Mrs,
Is her stool hard, or does she have to strain?

They are normal, but yes, she forces a lot, sometimes we try to tell her not to force too much.

Thanks for the information!
If she has to strain (because of hardness or other reason), I suggest giving her plenty of liquids to drink and encourage her to eat high fiber foods like fruits & veggies, whole grains, etc. to soften the stool
If that doesn't work, I would suggest PEG-3350 powder (Lax-A-Day, Restoralax and other brands), which has no taste or smell and can be diluted in a small amount of any liquid. The dose is given according to weight; your pharmacist will be able to tell you the exact amount, if necessary.
If possible, use unscented wet wipes for hygiene after bowel movements, as toilet paper may be irritating.
i will be available if you have any further questions!
