My 10 month old daughter has had a cold for 6 days (runny nose, no fever, cough for 2 days). For the past 2 days, she has been having softer than usual stools and doesn't seem to digest anything she eats. Should I go see a doctor? She is much more crabby and sleeping less well.

Hello Ma'am,
A change in stool appearance is not necessarily abnormal during an episode of illness. If your daughter remains in good overall condition despite being in a slightly worse mood and sleeping, eating and drinking anyway (even if a little less), wetting and soiling her diaper, there is no need to worry.

I just took her temperature again and it is 38.4. She hadn't had one since her cold started. Any sign of superinfection?

She is drinking less, really eating less too. Wets her diapers though and has 2 large soft stools each day.

Thanks for the feedback! It's pretty normal for your child to want to eat and drink less while she's sick. All in all, I'm reassured that she's wetting and soiling her diaper just the same :)
Fever that has been going on for less than 72 hours or is not accompanied by other potentially serious signs or symptoms should be treated with acetaminophen (Tylenol, Tempra, or other brand) for now.
I'll stay available if you have any more questions
