Can I take alcohol with Doxytab?

I am currently on doxytab 100mg for chlamydia. I'm taking my last pill on Saturday morning, I want to know if Saturday night alcohol could cause the treatment to fail

Alcohol will not compromise the treatment, but is irritating to the stomach, as is Doxytab. This could increase the risk of irritation or diarrhea in particular, but the effectiveness of the treatment should not be affected.
