I have itching of the vulva and labia majora. I wash with aveeno soap without perfume and I make sure to rinse well. How can I reduce the itching?

Good morning, ma'am,
How long have you noticed this?
Are there any other symptoms such as unusual odor or discharge, irritation, or anything else?
Have you experienced these symptoms in the past?

In fact, the itching is usually at the end of the day/evening. I haven't noticed for how long, but I am that when I shave, it is really worse. Odor-wise, nothing really to report besides the vaginal discharge which is not abnormal, but with a slight discharge smell.

Thank you for the information, please forgive my delay!
First of all, I would suggest avoiding any soap, vaginal shower or other on this area. I would only suggest, for the next few weeks, hygiene with clear water. Indeed, soaps can irritate or increase the risk of itching.
I suggest wearing clothes that are not tight and that allow breathing, like cotton clothes and underwear.
What I can suggest for the future is to avoid shaving against the directions of the hair and to avoid going over the area multiple times as this can greatly irritate and increase the risk of ingrown hairs and boils.
After shaving, only apply a fragrance-free moisturizer such as Aveeno, Base Glaxal or other.
If the situation persists despite the application of these measures, a doctor should be consulted, if only as a precaution.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

I use a soap without perfume aveeno and I make sure to rinse very well afterwards. I also got an electric razor so it's much less irritating for the skin. I will also follow your advice for the moisturizer
