I have a lot of itching, is it because of my medication?

Hello, for about a week and a half I have had some changes in my medication. I stopped the remeron which was temporarily replaced by trazadone 50 mg and added ritalin 10 mg once a day at 3 pm. I am already taking efferxor 300 mg + vyvanse 50 mg. I have a lot of itching (to the point of bruising). Could this be related to the changes in my medication?

Hello, thank you for your question!
It's not impossible that your medications are causing you dry, itchy skin. First, it is best to look at non-pharmacological measures:
I suggest you use a fragrance-free soap like Dove from now on. After the shower or bath, do not rub the skin to dry it, but rather pat it lightly, in order to leave some moisture. Within 5 minutes of getting out of the shower, you should apply a fragrance-free moisturizer. I also suggest applying the cream as often as desired during the day, whenever the itching is felt (there is no maximum).
If you find that the situation persists, does not improve at all, or gets worse, I invite you to contact your pharmacist for a thorough evaluation of your drug therapy, and/or your physician.
Sincerely
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

Thank you very much, but my skin is not dry at all. It should go away with time.
