In the absence of other symptoms, I suggest applying a fragrance-free moisturizer such as Aveeno as often as necessary, whenever the urge to scratch is felt

I suggest for the next few days to week to avoid applying soap on this area, and to avoid rubbing with the towel to dry: instead, lightly pat and apply the moisturizer quickly after.

If it doesn't get better after 1 week, or gets worse, I suggest consulting a doctor, just to be on the safe side.
