I'm wondering if there is a syrup I can take while pregnant that would help with my cough and sore throat?

Hello,
For the last 2 days, I have had a lot of nasal discharge. My sinuses are also blocked (I am currently doing a sinus rinse).
However, I have a hollow cough since yesterday and when I swallow my saline I feel a lot of pain as if I had knives in my throat.
I am currently pregnant.

Hello, ma'am,
Many syrups contain ingredients that should be avoided during pregnancy. Also, their dubious effectiveness makes me not recommend them.
You did well with nasal hygiene, which I encourage as often as necessary during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. I also encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot depending on your preference.
Tylenol and lozenges such as Halls or Fisherman's Friend can relieve throat irritation.
If your symptoms persist for more than a week without improvement, you should see a doctor as a precaution.
I will be available if you have any further questions!
