What to do about eczema on my daughter's eyelids?

33-year-old woman2 years ago
My daughter is almost 3 years old, she has sensitive skin and had a tendency to have eczema as a baby. For a few weeks now she seems to have some on her eyelids. I already had a prescription for cortisone cream for her face when she was a baby I'm wondering what to do. Do I put the cortisone cream on? Or just moisturizer? It seems to be getting worse despite the moisturizer

Hello madam, would it be possible to know which moisturizer you use?

I used to use cerave, and for about 2 weeks now I've been using aquafor by eucerin

I also wonder if it is really eczema or something else

Thanks for the feedback!
I'm not inclined to suggest applying Aquaphor to the face because it's a very greasy product. Cerave cream is a good option!
I also suggest for the next few weeks to avoid applying soap or shampoo on the affected areas, wash only with clear water during the bath
After the bath, avoid rubbing the skin, rather pat it lightly to leave a little moisture and apply moisturizer within 5 minutes of getting out of the bath.
Non-pharmacological measures are usually sufficient but should be applied regularly.
If the situation does not improve after 2 weeks or gets worse, I suggest that you discuss it with your doctor.
I will remain available if you have any further questions
Sincerely
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

Thank you very much!
It's a doctor at the emergency room who advised me to use the aquafor cream, it's difficult to find one's way around it, there are many different solutions
I will try your technique. I will try your technique. Thank you!
