My daughter has been coughing for almost two weeks, what should I do?

My 2.5 year old daughter has been coughing for almost two weeks (June 29). She is vomiting secretions every day. She got a pump of Teva-Salbutamol last Tuesday when she went to the doctor for asthma caused by allergies. She's been taking it every day but it's not getting better. She's not sleeping well, eating less. I'm wondering when I should go back to see her if she doesn't get better? Thank you for your help.

Hello Mrs,
Does your child take any other allergy products? Does she have other symptoms such as a runny or stuffy nose?
Thank you

She does not take anything else for allergies. Her nose is not clogged or visibly runny. If there is a runny nose, it is in the throat only. The only other symptom she has is sneezing. Except that at first we went to see her for a dry cough only at night and now she has a wet cough day and night

Thanks for the feedback!
Very often, as you mentioned, coughing can occur because of sinus drainage from behind in the throat. To that effect, I think it would be worthwhile to try an anti-histamine like Claritin, Aerius or Reactine, which could help alleviate this. I invite you to consult your pharmacist who will be able to show you one of these products according to your preferences (flavor in particular).
If this is not effective after 7 days, you will have to see your doctor again for a re-evaluation of your child's needs.
I will remain available if you have any further questions!
