I'm wondering what I can do to stop my lip corner from splitting and if this is normal?

I have had a split lip for over 2 weeks. I bought some medicated ointment from b'istex to put on it, it helps it to make a gall, but the next day it splits. Hello, I've been putting vaseline on my split lip for a little over a week now and it has helped it to swell and it hurts less, but it doesn't close up so I don't really understand what's going on. Am I not putting enough Vaseline?

I suggest a greasy moisturizer like Vaseline or Cetaphil, but you will need to apply it very often during the day, including before meals to help reduce the irritation when you open your mouth I reiterate that you should apply it often, as often as necessary during the day, there is no maximum number of times during the day, and avoid licking the corner of the lips I invite you to try this for a few days, if it doesn't help or not enough, don't hesitate to contact me.
