My baby woke up with patches on her belly?

My 8 and a half month old baby woke up this morning with patches all over his stomach, under his arms, on the back of his neck, his rectal temperature is at 37.5, the only thing different he did was Eat for the first time small weights yesterday noon. It seems to be like hives?
