I wonder if it's normal for the cream to stay inside like that?

Hello, I started a 3 day treatment of canesten cream for vaginitis. I applied the first dose last night and today after 24 hours, the cream is still present in my vagina and it is not expelled. In the past I had already done the treatment and the cream was expelled from my vagina during the day.

Hello, I used the internal canestin cream for a vaginitis, I used 1 dose and it's been 48h, the cream is still in my vagina and has not been expelled.
In the past I have used some and the cream was running out during the day.
Is it normal that it doesn't come out?
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I've had an IUD for 3 months, which I didn't have before.
thank you

Good morning, ma'am,
Yes, this is normal but should remain temporary. Residues can remain without necessarily indicating a problem.
I hope that I have been helpful to you and I am available if you have any other questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
