I wonder what I can take to calm the "scratching" in my throat that causes my cough.

Hello, I have a persistent cough with a white runny nose. My throat feels like it's tickling and when I take lozenges, I cough even more. I have done two covid tests in 3 days which are always negative and I have no fever. I feel weak because I cough at night so I don't sleep well. I'm wondering what I can take to calm my "scratchy" throat. And if I should consult, could it be strep b?

Hello ma'am, do you have a stuffy or runny nose right now, even a little?
Have you tried anything other than the lozenges?

My nose is running but it is transparent. This morning I cough even more and start to have secretions. Last night I bought Hydrasense, a DM syrup.
This morning, in addition to coughing every 5 minutes, I have a raging headache.
I added some Advil for colds and sinuses, and also a Reactine in case of allergies.
Anyway, I should be getting better but it's not getting any better.

I am on an FMG, do you think if it doesn't get better today I should go see my md?
I'm going to do a covid test again just in case, but could it be sinusitis because of the headache or strep b because of the tingling throat (this morning while eating toast, I couldn't stop coughing because of the crumbs!?).
Thank you for your help -

Thanks for the information. You did well with Hydrasense, but I recommend using it often, as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bed. It is normal to have a little more cough or secretions in the morning when you wake up. I encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot, as you prefer.
I only suggest that you consult me if the situation persists for more than 7 days without improvement.
I will remain available if there is anything to report

Thank you Mr. Samaha,
I went to my GMF this morning because it doesn't go away, we suspect a viral sinusitis. But it's still a little better, less headache.
thanks again -
