Hello for a little of a week the sleep of my boy of 9 months is disturbed, he wakes up without stop crying. For two days the situation has been getting worse, he is congested, he bangs his ears while screaming, eats less and is very irritable. His temperature is always at the limit 37,9-38,2... on top of that, his eyes are affected by a rather intense purulent conjunctiva. He has had repeated ear infections since August.

My 9 month old son has been sleeping very poorly for the past week, he wakes up crying and clawing his ears.
For two days now, nasal congestion has appeared in addition to purulent conjunctivitis in both eyes. His body temperature is always between 37.9 and 38.2. We give him tylenol to relieve him but it doesn't help much. We also do several nasal toilets a day
He has had repeated ear infections since August.

Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about his troubles!
I would suggest consulting if your son's symptoms persist for 1 week without improvement, or if he has a fever for 72 hours.
In the meantime, if he seems to be in pain, Tylenol or Tempra is the first treatment. I strongly suggest that you contact your pharmacist who will be able to tell you the maximum dose according to his weight.
Nasal hygiene with a saline solution such as Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse, followed by suctioning with a nasal aspirator, is very effective for congestion, discharge and cough. You can do this as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime.
Encourage your child to drink often, even if it means giving smaller amounts.
For the eyes, just clean the area with a clean wet towel, taking care not to share or reuse it as it can be contagious.
I hope I've been helpful, and I'm available if you have any other questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
