What vitamins should I take if I want to get pregnant?

Hi, my husband and I have been trying to conceive a 2nd child for several months now. I was wondering if there are any vitamins or anything that could help?

Hello, thank you for your question!
You should know that even in healthy young people, conception can take several months. What I can suggest for both of you is to ensure that you eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, get regular moderate exercise, good stress management, and adequate sleep and rest.
For women, folic acid is suggested at 0.4 to 1mg per day. Many multivitamins contain enough, and folic acid is available on its own as a supplement as well. Keep in mind that higher doses are suggested for some people at risk. Your pharmacist will be able to do a short consultation with you, and if you wish, even prescribe this supplementation for you.
I hope this helps, and I am available if you have any further questions!
