I have severe stomach pain and bleeding with Jencycla?

23-year-old womana year ago
Hello, I am 22 years old and I take my oral contraceptive called Jencycla. I take this one in particular because I suffer from ophthalmic migraine and I am therefore more at risk of a clot. Only, I was not menstruating for several months (I was warned that I could spot, not menstruate or be regular). But I've been having trouble for the last 2-3 months, I have a lot of stomach pains and I'm menstruating every week and a half. I had an appointment with my doctor and I do not have an ovarian cyst.

Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
Have you started or stopped any medication or product in the last 2 months?
Are you taking Jencycla at the same time every day?
What did your doctor tell you after his exams?

No, I did not stop or start any medication. And I take my jencycla within 1 hour always at the same time every day
My doctor didn't seem to know much about the medication. In fact, she told me that I should induce my menstruation every 3 months, whereas I had contacted 2 pharmacists who had told me never to stop my medication, high risk of pregnancy

Thank you for the information, I am sorry for the delay I did not see the notification!
Indeed, it is recommended not to stop Jencycla to preserve its effectiveness.
If your bleeding persists for more than 4 weeks, you should consult a doctor as a precaution. Otherwise, it is suggested that you continue taking your contraceptive as planned if you are willing to do so. Bleeding usually stops on its own.
