What should I take to help my cough and bronchial pain, I also take Citalopram and Ozempic?

I have strep and have been prescribed penicillin. I also probably have Vrs. I have a good cough and was told that I could use my pumps to calm my cough. I forgot to ask if it was compatible with the penicillin. I have an orange and blue pump.

Which one is better for coughing? Thank you
Naji-tom Samaha · a year ago
Flovent is the anti-inflammatory drug that helps reduce inflammation in the bronchial tubes, including the possible overproduction of mucus. This drug is used for treatment and prevention.
During coughing spells, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath (again if the origin is in the bronchial tubes), Ventolin can help to dilate the airways temporarily.
That being said, coughing is often caused by the sinuses flowing from behind into the throat. To this end, nasal hygiene with saline solution, such as Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse, should be advocated.

Thanks for the clarification :)
Usually, Flovent and Ventolin are suggested during a particular episode of infection (or not). Since they have been prescribed, I invite you to ask your pharmacist to allow him/her
  • Properly assess (or re-evaluate) the prescription for specific ways to use your inhalers;
  • To nuance and personalize the information to your situation and your needs;
  • Ensure a close follow-up with you and document his/her interventions in your file.
