I was wondering what could be causing these "attacks" considering that I no longer have a gallbladder?

Hello, I had a cholecystectomy last November 24, but I still have episodes of "attacks" identical to when I still had my gallbladder. The pain is still very unbearable.

Part of the message seems to be missing! I said I had my gallbladder removed last November 24, but I still have "attacks" (pain in the form of cramps under my breasts, nausea, vomiting, etc.) despite the operation.

Good morning, ma'am,
Does this pain occur at a particular time of the day (eating, waking up, etc.)?
Did you receive any medication after the procedure?
Do you have other symptoms such as constipation or diarrhea?

The times it happened were once when I woke up and once after eating. I took Dilaudid for the pain after the surgery, but only for 7 days and I have no other symptoms.

Thanks for the information, I'm sorry for the delay in my reply, I hadn't seen the notification!
At first glance, I think we should try to find a possible cause. What I suggest for the next 4 to 6 weeks is to keep a journal where you will write down everything you consume and the quantities, but also the activities you undertake, and your state of mind (fatigue, stress, etc.). In the second column you could write down the occurrence and extent of the symptoms. We could then identify some possible causes. This may take several weeks so I suggest being diligent.
If no cause can be suggested, I suggest consulting a physician to get a thorough evaluation of the situation.
I hope I have been helpful and remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
