I was wondering if my spouse got HPV from me and if I should use a condom?

My doctor found precancerous lesions in my cervix (with HPV). I had the diathermic loop treatment a week ago. I have to wait 3 weeks before having sex. I was wondering if I should use a condom? I don't know if it's possible that I infected my partner with HPV, so if I don't protect myself, could I get the lesions back that he removed?

Hello ma'am, it is indeed recommended to wear a condom to help reduce the risk of transmission.
Otherwise, it is impossible to know if he has been infected without a medical evaluation of his condition.
I will remain available if you have any further questions!

hello, so just to be sure, even though I had the procedure to remove my precancerous lesions, I have to wear a condom with the same partner I had? :)

Many strains of the virus will remain in your body, there is always the possibility that lesions will reappear or that the virus will be released on the mucous membranes and skin.
So yes, wearing a condom is recommended.
