Thanks for the information!
Depending on the description of your symptoms, I would suggest trying an anti-histamine like Aerius, Claritin or other. These are safe options and you can see their full effect after 3 to 5 days.
Continue nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), as often as necessary during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime.
I also suggest avoiding keeping windows open, especially in dry and/or windy weather. After an outing, change your clothes quickly and wash your hands, and avoid drying clothes outside.
If the air in your room is very dry, the use of a humidifier may help reduce the allergen particles in the air.
If these measures are not enough, I suggest that you consult your pharmacist who will evaluate the possibility of prescribing a corticosteroid nasal spray to help reduce sinus inflammation. It can be used in conjunction with anti-histamines and nasal hygiene.
I hope I have been helpful, I will remain available if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
