How can I help start my period after stopping the pill?

24-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello! I stopped taking the birth control pill for good after 7 years of taking it. It's been two and a half months since I stopped, and I haven't had my period yet. I have taken pregnancy tests that are negative. I know it can take up to 6 months before my period returns, but I was wondering if there was anything I could do to speed things up (foods to eat, supplements, etc.)?

Hello Mrs,
As mentioned, it can take up to 6 months, but on your side, there is nothing to do or consume to trigger menstruation.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
