What should I do to unclog my ear? I am starting to have pain.

I took a shower on Tuesday morning and water accidentally got into my ear. Since then I hear a thud as if it was blocked. I put some drops of sweet almond oil as I do when I have too much earwax (I have a tendency to make earwax plugs). I also had a lot of swimmer's ear when I was young.
