Hello, I have a cough and cold. My heart rate is about 105-110 bpm at rest. I am also medicated for high blood pressure.

Hello ma'am, are you taking anything for your cold symptoms?
41-year-old woman · a year ago
Hello, I took 12.5 ml of Benylin last night and this morning 1 capsule of Tylenol extra-strength

Thanks for the feedback, would it be possible to know which Benylin you took, and/or what ingredients it contains? Some ingredients for cold symptoms can increase blood pressure and/or heart rate.

Thanks for the feedback.
This product may increase the heart rate in some people. However, fighting an infection can also increase blood pressure and/or heart rate.
I encourage you to monitor this for the next few days.
If your heart rate remains above 100 beats per minute, you will need to see a doctor.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, Pharmacist
