Is it normal to have itching and or less pleasant odors? How can I remedy the situation?

I am with a stable sexual partner. Very often, after a sexual intercourse, I would say about the next day, I find that my vulva does not smell very good / itches a little. After each intercourse I urinate and or take a good shower to clean myself. We do not use condoms. Also, my partner often has micro tears on the glans after intercourse (this is what a professional told him). I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I'd rather tell you more than not!
