Are there more effective alternatives to Buckley's for nasal congestion?

28-year-old woman2 years ago
I started having cold/laryngitis symptoms 2 days ago. Sore throat, headache, soreness and today completely blocked sinus. Since the beginning of the symptoms I do sinus rinse with the bottle several times a day, I blow my nose afterwards. I hydrate ++ and take buckley capsules at the prescribed times on the dosage. Despite this, my nose remains completely congested to the point of causing headaches and a sucking sensation at the back of my mouth when I swallow my saliva. The sinus rinse burns my nose raw when I do it today and nothing comes out when I do it. Same thing when I blow my nose. Applying vicks is also ineffective

Good morning, ma'am,
I invite you to continue nasal hygiene as often as necessary during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. If necessary, your pharmacist can review with you the technique of use if it causes you irritation.
The product you mention contains a painkiller and a decongestant (pseudoephedrine) among others, which are supposed to be effective in relieving symptoms at least partially. Other similar products like Tylenol or Advil Sinus contain similar ingredients... If it remains ineffective after 7 days, you should consult a doctor for a thorough evaluation of your condition
I invite you to drink a lot of liquids, cold or hot, depending on your preference.
If you have not already done so, I suggest that you get a rapid test for COVID.
I will be available if you have any further questions
