Is it dangerous to apply Nicoderm if my blood pressure is 152/84 mmHg?

Hello, I am 29 years old and I am starting the nicoderm patch tomorrow to stop smoking :)! I saw my doctor last week and he asked me to take my pressure 2 x a day since it is high is it dangerous to put the patch if I have high pressure? Thanks a lot :)

Good morning, ma'am, It is difficult to extract much from a single blood pressure value. As it is written, smoking and nicotine withdrawal can increase blood pressure. As long as this value does not persist over time or get worse, there is no need to worry.
