Can I give Advil and Tylenol at the same time?

Hello, my baby is 11 months old and we gave him advil and tylenol at the same time since his temperature is 39.8. We suspect an ear infection. Is it dangerous to give the 2 doses at the same time?

Hello Mrs,

Although it is not strictly speaking dangerous, it is not recommended to give the 2 in combination unless medical advice and supervision is given. The reason is that one of the two should be enough to relieve the fever. If this is not the case, or if it persists for 72 hours in particular, you should consult a doctor.
