No, it is not dangerous. You can safely take another week of hormone-containing pills after this pack (of hormones) is finished.
That said, it's not clear whether it will help you avoid menstruation this month. In fact, on the first continuous intake, about 1 in 2 women will still experience spotting (small bleeding).
