My one month old baby cries incessantly, what should I do?

Practically non-stop for the last 2 weeks. He always seems to be "chewing gum". In short, my doctor thinks it's reflux. So we started giving him ranitidine 4 days ago. So far, not much effect, we have increased the dose a little. We are putting into practice all the little tricks that the doctor gave us: raise the head of the bed, keep him upright after the feeds, do some babywearing, etc. But this whole problem is very difficult on the morale, the nights and days are difficult... Usually, are you able to tell me if the medication solves the problem? I can't play with him, stimulate him, etc... and he screams all the time.

Hello!
I would advise you to go back to the pediatrician to have your baby checked again, as it is not normal for a baby to be crying all the time. Also, there are other treatment options for reflux, so maybe the pediatrician can prescribe another, more effective medication.
