Can my cycles be normal? Can the fact that I stopped breastfeeding only 4 months ago be a factor? Thank you

Hello! I have been trying to get pregnant for 13 months (for baby 2). I had a return of menstruation following my delivery in December 2021 but I breastfed until October (4 months ago). I notice that there are 9-10 days between my ovulation and my period as well as cycles of 26-27 days.

Hello, a 27 day cycle is quite normal. It is normal to have 3 months of menstrual delay when you stop breastfeeding.
Use the flo application to better calculate your ovulation period. It's very practical.
For a cycle of this length, ovulation took place around the 12th-13th day after the first day of menstruation. You should therefore have intercourse every 2 days from day 10 of the cycle (10-12th-14th-16th)

So, with ovulation tests, if I notice my ovulation on day 17, it is not normal?

There is nothing abnormal necessarily, it is not an exact science. In this case, if you do ovulation tests, you can rely on that. Observe the physical symptoms during the ovulatory phase to help you. If it is still around the 17th day, you can start intercourse 2 days earlier to maximize your chances. As spermatozoa survive for up to 5 days and eggs for 48 hours, you should take this into account
