Is it possible for my menstrual cycle to be irregular when I stop taking birth control?

Hello, I have not yet fallen in my week and the fat test says negative. I had my last period on June 11. I am not taking any contraception since May. I had a normal period in May (May 17) as soon as I removed my ring. I did not put it back on voluntarily afterwards. Then I had a 25 day cycle (May 17 to June 10) my only cycle without contraception in June. I should have fallen in my week in early July or so. I am almost 1 week late with my period, but I did a test this morning Monday July 11 and it was negative. When can I expect to be tested again for pregnancy? Was it too early? Or can menstruation stop like that? I never had a problem before. I took off my ring every 3 months and always fell in my week. Great, thanks Am I still at risk for pregnancy without a period?
