I have cramps and diarrhea, when should I consult?

28-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello, I had a surgery last June 8. I have been taking tylenols, anti-inflamatories every day since, and several statex as needed, but without exaggeration. I only took one every 4 hours to manage the pain from June 14 to 16 (installation and pain caused by a CAV) and one every day on June 29 and July 1 (CAV installation and change). Since then, I have not taken any, as I tolerate the CAV changes very well. I only take 2 tylenols before the CAV changes every two days and the pain of my wound is tolerable. However, since the installation of the CAV on June 29, I have diarrhea and severe abdominal cramps before going to the bathroom. I can go almost 12 hours without having diarrhea, but when I eat solids, 15 to 45 minutes later, I have cramps and diarrhea, sometimes quite intense. Yesterday, I thought it was getting better because the stools were starting to be more solid and of normal color. Do you think that my situation is due to the amount of medication I took and that the sudden stop of this medication is causing a disorder in my stomach?

Good morning, ma'am,
Are you currently taking any other medications? Have you been taking any other medications than those mentioned? Did you have any other symptoms such as fever or nausea?
You report that your situation seems to be improving now, is that correct? If so, just continue to monitor the situation. I encourage you to drink plenty of fluids and to favour light foods such as soups, broths, crackers, toast, eggs, and to avoid foods that are too sweet or heavy such as red meat and milk.
If the situation persists beyond one week, without improvement, it would be more prudent to consult a doctor.
I remain available if you have any other questions

Hello,
Thank you for your answer. I took advils once the anti-inflamatories stopped, because the pain from my surgery had increased. But for more than a week, I have not taken any advil
In addition, I am taking dexilants 30 mg every day
Yesterday, the situation seemed to improve, but I forgot to finish this sentence. Around 9 am I ate some lactose free yogurt, it went well. Around 11:45 a.m. I ate some white rice and it didn't go away at all. I had big cramps again and went back to the bathroom
I'm going to monitor my condition. I don't have any fever or nausea. I only have a little headache because I don't eat much
Would you advise me to make an appointment this week or next week?
Thank you very much for your help
I look forward to hearing from you

Thank you for your feedback!
If the situation persists to the same extent (cramps and diarrhea), it would be better to see a doctor sooner than next week, if only as a precaution.
