Bleeding after my period?

Hello, I have just finished menstruating so I started my pill again which I have been taking for several years and I noticed that I was still bleeding but it was darker than usual! I think I'm spotting but it's the first time it's happened to me after my period and it's normal? I don't think it's normal because I'm still spotting a lot and it fills up an average sanitary napkin and I'm not menstruating anymore.
