Good evening ma'am,
As you know, at this age, it is best to minimize sun exposure, especially from 11am to 4pm, by putting the child in the shade and having him or her wear long clothes that show a good UV protection score.
But when this is not possible, mineral filter type sunscreen can be applied to the skin exposed to the sun. These creams come in several brands, so LaRoche Posay, and usually leave a white film on the skin that reflects sunlight.
You should use a cream that has an SPF of at least 30, and reapply the cream every 2 hours.
