Hello, my almost 3 week old baby has a raw bottom, it looks like a burn. She has several bowel movements a day, we change her as soon as she has a stool or urinates in her diaper. We use washcloths with water and so far we have tried to put desitin but it does not get better.

Every time you change a layer, there is 40% zinc

Thanks for the feedback! You are doing well with the 40% concentration.
I would encourage you to check the diaper often and change it as soon as it gets the least bit soiled or wet.
I would also suggest (if not already in progress) using unscented wet wipes and unscented bath soap. After bathing, lightly pat the skin dry instead of rubbing it.
If the situation persists for more than 7 days without improvement or worsens, you should consult a doctor as a precaution.
